Art restoration and conservation is an important part of Daniel Bibb's work. Bibb trained under a master conservator in the 1970s, who himself had learned his craft in the aftermath of the devastating floods in Florence, Italy, in 1966. There the conservator learned sound Italian methods of art conservation which had been perfected over centuries.
Those same techniques and training were passed on to Daniel Bibb. Utilizing those methods combined with innovations made possible by advanced technology, Bibb has continued the tradition of past masters with a careful and conservative approach to art conservation and restoration.
Daniel Bibb has conserved and restored art from around the United States for curators and private collectors. His specialty is in oil on canvas and oil on board from the 16th to the 20th century. In addition, many items on this site are from centuries past and only through proper conservation methods are they secure for generations to come.
